NOTIFICATION OF A BEQUEST

To notify the Foundation of a bequest please write to us or send an e-mail to cjf@civiljusticefoundation.com.au or use our online bequest form. With the benefactors consent, you may also notify us of their name and address so he or she can recieve bulletins about the Foundation's activities (optional).

Notifications assist future planning but do not imply any legal commitment of any kind and neither you nor the testator will be under any obligation whatsoever to follow a particular course of action, nor will this limit the testator's freedom to change his or her will in the future.

BEQUEST WORDING

The recommended form of bequest for a will is as follows:-

"I give (my estate) or (the residue of my estate) or (the sum of $ ) to the Civil Justice Foundation Ltd for its general purposes*. The receipt of the Foundation secretary is to be a sufficient discharge to my trustees.

*If the benefactor wishes to specify an area of the Foundation's operations to which the bequest ought to be applied add:-

"I express the wish but without creating any binding trust that if practicable this gift be applied towards education+/research+/a grant to a consumer protection body's activities+ (+delete as applicable)."
